Creditor Advisory Services

Morgan Joseph utilizes its expertise in distressed transactions to provide expert financial advisory services to creditor constituencies in complex situations. Our experience in representing distressed borrowers enables us to provide unique insight and guidance to creditor groups seeking to maximize their recoveries. We have represented numerous types of creditors in many different situations; as a result, we fully understand creditor mentalities and the desire to minimize down-side risk while preserving options for the fullest possible recovery. Due to the liquidity in secondary debt markets, we are experienced in dealing with situations where there are different creditors that have varying investment entry points, and the stress on a creditor group this can cause. As an advisor to creditors, our services include all of the following, as necessary: (i) negotiating forbearance agreements and amendments; (ii) providing an independent view on the borrower's strategic alternatives, debt capacity, and valuation; (iii) when feasible, serving as transaction broker for the company on behalf of the creditors; and (iv) advising on the viability of reorganization plans. Our depth of experience enables us to enter situations with an open mind about possible strategies to achieve the optimal outcome.
